2013 New York Screenplay Finalist
The 2013 New York Screenplay Contest chose us as Finalists with two Top-Ten finishes in this year’s competition. We were recognized in both the Family and Biographical/Historical categories.
Lynda and I are absolutely thrilled. We love New York, but this gives us two more reasons embrace it. “I ♥ NY”
My last visit was eight years ago. Lynda and I decided to spend our 11th anniversary in the city and discovered that there’s a secret code that visitors to the city really should know about. New Yorker’s love celebrations of any kind, large or small. So, tell everyone that you are celebrating an anniversary and chances are, they go out of their way to make sure that the occasion is memorable. I suggest that everyone should go to New York City at least once and experience it for yourself.
We were in the city during Halloween and we were very impressed and pleased to see that the local shopkeepers in neighborhoods like Soho and Greenwich, opened their doors to young trick-or-treaters as they passed by. Some even invite the goblins, witches and tiny Richard Nixon’s inside their stores to show off their wonderful costumes to patrons.
I’m sure I’m not the first to say that New York City is like no other place, but it is true for me. My first visit was in 1971 and I’ve been back 4 times since. Sounds to me like it’s time for another visit. “Hey, Lynda, pack a bag, we’re going Downtown…”
Dreams can come true if you reach high enough.
